Anthrologica advised the social science component in the PERC partnership, providing support in tools’ development, analysis, and triangulation of quantitative and qualitative social science insights with epidemiological data. Quantitative tools were created to assess the enablers and barriers (I.e., perceptions, cultural beliefs, knowledge, access to water and face masks, economic burden) of self-reported support of public health and social measures (PHSMs) in place in 19 African countries. Qualitative tools were used to perform thematic analyses of such dimensions in social media environments like Facebook and Twitter. Anthrologica contributed to the production of weekly and monthly reports monitoring the situation in each country.
