Evaluating inclusive education programmes

CAMEROON AND SIERRA LEONE

CAMEROON AND SIERRA LEONE
Qualitative studies were undertaken to assess the impact of Sightsavers’ Inclusive Education programmes in Cameroon and Sierra Leone. The studies assessed how children with disabilities, their teachers and their parents experienced or perceived the programmes. They also identified barriers and enablers to the inclusive model and evaluated the sustainability of the projects. The research was designed to contribute to the knowledge base on disability inclusion in education and to be used to refine a contextually appropriate and gender-responsive approach to supporting education for girls and boys with disabilities in Cameroon and Sierra Leone.
